Public weighs in on proposed changes to Burlington Town Center Mall

BURLINGTON, Vt. – It’s a project that could change downtown Burlington forever.

With standing room only and a line down the hallway, it was clear that folks want to know what’s happening in downtown Burlington.

If the public gives us the thumbs up like we’re moving in the right direction, you know there’s a series of steps that will be pursuing over the next several months to advance the project,” said Donald Sinex.

After nearly a year at the drawing board, the latest plans for the roughly $250 million development was released Tuesday night. The current downtown mall will be torn down and in its place about 1.4-million-square feet of mixed-use buildings, roads and walkways.
